''L'abîme du rêve'' means ''the depts of the dreams'' (yeah really bad translation i know, i'm sorta tired XD)

Anyway.

W00t long story here.

In early april we (me and a group of students of my class) shot a movie about Emile Nelligan.

Now if you have no idea who's this guy, he's a french speaking poet (but he also speak english perfectly, since his father was from Ireland) who spent most of his life in a hospital due to mental illness. But before ending up there, he wrote many well-known poem such as ''La Romance du Vin'', ''Le Vaisseau D'Or'' and ''Beauté Cruelle''. The essence of his wiriting was inspired by women, pain, loneliness and sadness. After being admitted in a psychological institute in 1899, he died around the 1940's.

I would say he was an unknown genious, and like most of them, he gain recognition and fame after his death.

So the movie we did (which last for about 8 minutes) is mostly about his madness. While being in his room, Emile (who's 20) trie to remember his poem by writing them of the walls. Frustrated, he can't complete them. Then the nurse comes up and he feels more inspired. Throught the memories of his childhood and his more recent years, the viewer finally realises how crazy Emile really became by seeing that he was in fact in his hospital room during the entire movie.

I've spend about 3 or 4 hours on this.

Made on photoshop cs2.
